A NUMBER of Harlow’s sporting clubs are giving regular updates as to when they hope to open.
Harlow Gymnastics Club has written to its members with some positive news.
Coaches Peter James and Gordon Mitchell said:
“IT was announced that as of the 25th July 2020 sports facilities like ours will be able to reopen our doors again to the public.
Firstly we would like to thank you so much for your continued support through what has been a very difficult and stressful time for us all. The fact that we have seen so many members continuing to do this each month has been so inspiring and clearly show’s we are a club that support each other and stick together. We will never be able to thank you enough but we would like you all to know that we are so grateful for everything you have done.
We have already started digesting the huge documentation of criteria and regulations around this and will be preparing all of our procedures for reopening very soon. Please bare with us at this time as we have a lot of policy’s and documentation to put in place now we know what we are dealing with.
At first instance, we do believe there will need to be some temporary adjustments to our current time table, but this will not necessarily affect every single class. Our focus always has been and will remain on the safety of our member’s and our staff.
Both gyms have already been extensively cleaned and every surface has been wiped down and cleaned with high grade disinfectant solutions. This will remain to be a high priority throughout, above what is also required by government.
All our members will start to see numerous emails and documents being released by us in the coming days and weeks. We cannot stress the importance of these. Can I please ask that these are read thoroughly and that you understand all of our procedures and policy’s moving forwards?
“Both Gordon and I are super excited to get back, as well as all of our coaching team. We look forward to seeing you all very soon”.
