Black Wax Heritage celebrates musical history in Harlow

BLACK Wax Heritage is a project launched during the lockdown by The Square’s Adam Smith.

Adam said: “Having had all of my live events postponed or cancelled, I launched Black Wax Heritage to look at the history of music in Harlow, whilst raising funds to put on future events when it’s safe to do so.

“The first part of the project is a T-Shirt campaign.

The second design has just gone live and is available here:

‘Rock And Roll At The Galaxy’ uses a poster design from 1973 for a dance party at The Galaxy Club in Harlow, later known as Square One and The Square.

The T-Shirts are printed to order, and are only available to order for a limited time. When the campaign is over, no more will be available.

The first design used the original poster advertising Eddie And The Hot Rods, The Sods and Pete The Meat And The Boys at the ‘Pop In The Park’ event at Harlow bandstand in 1978.
