PayByPhone takes over as the new cashless parking provider for Greater Anglia’s car parks

PAYBYPHONE, the global leader in mobile parking payments, today announced that from 1 August 2020 it replaced dash as the exclusive cashless parking provider across Greater Anglia’s 72 station car parks, which are managed by NCP.

PayByPhone users can use the service without any parking transaction fees and can choose to pay for text messages that remind them before a parking session expires. Dash season ticket holders will be given the chance to renew their season tickets with PayByPhone.

Being able to offer touch-free payment for parking through PayByPhone will further help to keep people safe when they travel with us, in addition to the enhanced cleaning we are carrying out, and the social distancing measures in place at stations and on our trains.”

PayByPhone is available in 13,000 locations across the UK and the PayByPhone app allows drivers to extend their parking sessions remotely, in accordance with the car parks’ terms and conditions, with the Extend-From-Anywhere feature. This feature is now also available to users with an Apple Watch using watchOS 4, allowing parking to be extended directly from the watch. The app also gives users access to its Map and Nearby Parking features. The Maps feature allows drivers to locate parking before they leave for their destination and pin their vehicle location onto the map once they have parked. The Nearby Parking feature instantly provides drivers with the closest PayByPhone parking location number once parked.

PayByPhone encourages drivers to download the app now, so they can use the new service straight away. Registration is very simple and takes less than 30 seconds. When paying for parking with mobile phones, PayByPhone recommends cleaning mobile devices regularly. Phones can pick up germs from surfaces on which they are placed, potentially then transferring those germs to hands or faces, so cleaning the device regularly is essential.
