Inquest opened into death of baby boy in Joyners Field

AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a two month old baby in Harlow.

The inquest was held at Chelmsford Coroners Court on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to Joyners Field in Harlow on Wednesday August 19th after reaching reports that a baby boy was ill.

Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, the baby boy died.

The two-month old baby has been named as Malik Olaiya.

The inquest has now been adjourned.

Essex Police is conducting a murder investigation.

A 34-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Both suspects have been released on bail until September 21 while police continue their enquiries.
