MANORCOURT Homecare’s Harlow team has joined the J9 initiative, which is being led by Essex County Council and the Safe Harlow Partnership, to offer support for victims of domestic abuse.
The J9 initiative helps raise awareness of domestic abuse support for victims. The branch, which is located at the Leah Manning Centre on Park Lane is displaying the logo in its windows to show it has a ‘safe place’ for people threatened with domestic abuse.
The safe place provides access to a phone and advice on getting support. The J9 programme is named in memory of Janine Mundy who was sadly killed by her estranged husband in June 2003 while he was on police bail.
Adrianna Tevfik, manager of Manorcourt Homecare’s Harlow and Broxbourne branch said, “As an extension of our support to the Harlow community, we have joined the J9 programme to provide a safe haven for anyone seeking help in relation to domestic abuse.
“We have received training from the Safer Harlow Partnership (SHP) and are here to offer support and help, as needed.”
