Live theatre returns to Victoria Hall Theatre

Entertainment / Tue 27th Oct 2020 at 11:49am

COVID, live performance returns to Victoria Hall Theatre THIS WEEK .

STRETCH THEATRE COMPANY presents “HAUNTED”, three original, spine-tingling ghost stories, written and directed by local author Simon Mawdsley.

“This is a project I’ve been wanting to do for some time, “ explains Simon, “and provides three very talented local actors an opportunity to return to the stage, after what has been, a long period of inactivity. And with Halloween approaching the timing is perfect”

Each tale is performed a different actor (similar in style to Alan Bennet’s “Talking Heads”), a format that fits perfectly with current restrictions.

“We have worked hard over the past few weeks to make the theatre safe and compliant with current government guidelines,” says Martin Colton, Chair of Victoria Hall Performing Arts Association. “Seating has been reduced to a third of previous capacity, and social distancing is employed throughout the building. We are excited to welcome back theatre-goers after such a long break.”

HAUNTED features Molly Jenkins, Pamela Self-Pierson and Emily Millwood. The show runs from Thursday 29th – Saturday 31st October, at 8pm.
