Happy Sixth Birthday to Harlow parkrun

MAY we wish the Harlow parkrun a happy sixth birthday!
Every Saturday, from November 2014 to March 2020, participants traversed the 5k (3.1 mile) course around the Harlow Town Park.
It was and is a race against yourself, a personal challenge.
Over 150 runners took part in the first Harlow parkrun.
The numbers have risen steadily
November 2015: 98
November 2016: 197
November 2017: 139
November 2018: 220
November 2019: 207
On January 18th, there was a remarkable 392 participants. This illustrated how popular running was becoming as well as how attractive an “event” the Harlow parkrun is.
It is superbly organised by the directors. The course has superb marshalls pointing you in the right direction and cheering you on!
The Harlow course is often cited as a picturesque course but challenging especially the pitch and putt hill!
There have been 278 runnings of the Harlow parkrun. We know that many people who enjoy their Saturday morning run are still out there jogging and just wanted to know, we are thinking about you
