ON FRIDAY morning , the government announced that adults between the ages of 50 and 64 will be able to get a free flu vaccine from 1 December in the next phase of this year’s expanded flu vaccination programme, the government has confirmed.
At the same time, this reporter (aged 58) received a text from the practice manager at The Ross Practice in Bush Fair.
It repeated the offer of a free flu jab and just wanted to know if this reporter wanted to be placed on a waiting list.
The Ross Practice were trying to gauge how many vaccines they should order.
They asked for patients to give them a ring. Sure enough, I rang, got through, gave detail and was put on their list.
So we just wondered, if you have heard from your surgery?
Please let us know, either way.
