Covid-19: Infection rate in Harlow increases to 120 cases

THE NUMBER of cases in Harlow has gone back up to 120.
It was 113.
There was 137.8 cases per 100,000. This is a 25% decrease from seven days ago.
This figure relates to Feb 15th and reported on Feb 20th.
This may illustrate, as we have aside before that there is a long way to go in Harlow until we get to zero Covid.
There are some who may wonder if we will ever get to zero Covid but that may be for another day.
The highest number was 1179 on January 6th.There was an emphatic decline in the number of cases until we reached 199 on February 10th.
Since then the pace has fallen.
You may also wonder why is Harlow whilst is neighbouring areas such as Epping Forest, East Herts, Broxbourne, Brentwood are so much further down the table?
However, many have also seen their figures rise.
It has gone down in the infection table to 132nd out of 315 local authorities.
That is a rate of 129.8 cases per 100,000. A fall of 39.2% cases per 100,000 (over seven days).
This is the lowest rate since mid-November.
Todays figure relates to Feb 14th but reported on Feb 19th.
If we can stress the positive, the number of in-patients at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) has fallen very steadily.
YH understands that there are 53 Covid in-patients, including 6 on ventilators.
There are 180 outstanding test results.
