PERFECT pup Pudding, a 1 and a half year old Shetland Sheepdog, will be taking the lead when St Clare Hospice holds its popular (not so wintry) rescheduled Winter Walkies event on Sunday 23rd May 2021. Pudding has been named St Clare’s Cutest Canine after they won the charity’s Facebook and Instagram photo competition to find the top dog to lead the pack at the sponsored 5k countryside walk.

From French Bulldogs and Cockapoos, to Pomeranians and Spaniels, a total of 18 handsome hounds and pretty pups entered the online photo competition, with 636 votes cast in the 5-day competition.

St Clare Hospice revealed the winner of their Cutest Canine photo competition ahead of their Winter Walkies event. Top dog Pudding, owned by Dawn Ingram, is set to officially open the charity’s 5k sponsored dog walk taking place on Sunday 23rd May. Pudding won the competition against 18 other dogs after polling 166 votes on the Hospice’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Pudding’s owner, Dawn Ingram, from Bishop’s Stortford said: “I’m absolutely thrilled that Pudding won the competition! We are taking part in Winter Walkies because, not only do Pud and I love investigating different walks together and meeting new friends, but we also wanted to support the amazing charity that is St Clare’s and help raise awareness of the incredible support they offer to so many.”

St Clare Challenges and Events Fundraiser Dani De’ath said: “We know our supporters are barking mad for their pets, but we were overwhelmed with the response to our Winter Walkies photography competition, Cutest Canine. The event, which has been kindly sponsored by Forest Vets, is one of the most popular in the Hospice fundraising calendar and we can’t wait to meet all our new four-legged friends on 23rd May.”

If you and your dog would like to join Pudding and Dawn at St Clare’s (not so wintry!) Winter Walkies event at 11am on Sunday 23rd May then register online at stclarehospice.org.uk/winterwalkies
