Harlow Rock School: We got by with a little help from our friends
Entertainment / Sun 5th Sep 2021 at 10:38am
LAST week, Harlow Rock School invited a number of organisations to their home at Katherines Common Room to thank them all their help over the last eighteen months.
One of the key features of Harlow Rock School was being together and playing together. Lockdown meant they couldn’t do that physically but they compensated by doing a lot of things virtually.
Now that they have opened up, Rock School leader Sue Wood wanted to say a big thank you to all those who have helped the kids stay alright.
Firstly, we spoked to Sue to see how the last eighteen months have been.
We then spoke to Jason Shaves of Rainbow Services. Jason told us how they got involved in making a number of benches for the Rock School garden. More importantly we heard about the scene where they are able to get young people involved in making the benches.
We also spoke to Issy, who helped make the benches and ended up with important certificates which will help her in the future job market.
