A MESSAGE from Rory and the Team at Harlow Playhouse

“We are devoted to the vital importance of arts and culture, we believe they are an essential part of the human experience, of what makes us who we are, and it’s extremely important to be able to welcome back all of our trusted and loyal customers with open arms even if it’s at a distance!

Harlow Playhouse understands that socially distanced seating will put many of our customers at ease and enhance their experience when coming back to the theatre after a challenging and difficult period. The safety of theatre audiences and staff is our top priority, and we want everyone to be confident to return.With all of our remaining shows this season now at full capacity, we felt it was only right to offer an alternative for those who will feel more relaxed within a socially distanced auditorium.

Therefore we have worked alongside the companies and our in house producers to accommodate this change and we are pleased to announce we will be offering the following performances with a socially distanced seating plan;

Bringing back the Good Times – Wednesday 22nd September @ 2pmFive Star Swing at Christmas – Thursday 11th November @2.30pm Robin Hood – Monday 20th December @5pm

At all performances at Harlow Playhouse we will strongly encourage you to:-Wear a face covering at all times indoors, unless medically exempt.-Keep a safe distance from other visitors when moving around the front of house areas-Use our hand sanitisers and wash your hands regularly. -Check-in using the NHS test and trace app if you are able to, even though this is no longer compulsory.

Rory Davies, Artistic and Executive Director said; ‘We are grateful to the producers that could work with us to provide a small programme of socially distant performances, we hope that this will enhance the experience of some of our customers who wish to enjoy the theatre but still keep some distance from others. Our theatre is safe with and without social distancing; we have worked with producers to provide this programme to ensure that we really are providing a service for all!’
