Busy weekends for Harlow Gymnastics Club

HARLOW Gymnastics club are back in the competition arena following the 18 month hiatus caused by the pandemic.
Events commenced in Derbyshire at the Amber Valley invitational with an amazing performance from Miley Shulton who finished 1st overall in the silver level after achieving 1st on bars, 1st on beam, 2nd on vault and 2nd on floor.
Ellie Hodges won the 5th place ribbon for beam at Bronze level. Challenging in her first competition, Aria Franklin was awarded the 6th place ribbon on bars while Ivy Clarke also made her competition debut. With a huge score of 12.1, Genna Lee took the 4th place beam ribbon at copper level and a brilliant performance facilitated Milana Lawrence finishing in 6th place on floor.
Also in the copper level, Kara Mcmahon accomplished 1st place on beam, 3rd on floor, 5th on bars and 3rd overall to conclude a very long successful weekend.
Next up were the Essex County levels in Colchester. Miley Shulton became County Champion on bars as well as placing 3rd on vault to finish in 2nd place overall in the silver level event. Ellie Hodges had a clean competition improving her overall score by 4 marks from the earlier competition narrowly missed out on a medal on beam at bronze level.
Having qualified for the Regional Level final both gymnasts represented Harlow and Essex, performing to a high standard in a very competitive field.
The club are delighted to be competing again and are looking forwards to many upcoming events.
