Number of people before courts for drink and drug driving offences

A NUMBER of Harlow residents have been before the courts in relation to road traffic offences including drink driving and driving under the influence of drugs.
Andrew Bennett, aged 31, of Aylets Field, Harlow
On March 23rd drove a Chevrolet GMC on Paringdon Road, when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Delta-9-tetra hydrocannabinol, in your blood, namely not less than 3.3 micrograms of analyte per litre of blood, exceeded the specified limit
Bennett was fined £120.00 and banned for twelve months

Daniel Drake, aged 36. of Willowfield, Harlow
On March 12th drove a Renault Trafic on Abercrombie Way when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Delta-9-tetrahydrocannab inol (9-THC), in your blood, namely not less than 9 ?g/L micrograms of analyte per litre of blood, exceeded the specified limit.
Drake was fined £150 and banned for twelve months.

Mehmet Arif, aged 40, of Upper Rainham Road, Hornchurch.
On September 11th, 2021, drove a white Ford Fiesta on Long Ley, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
Arif was banned for sixteen months and fined £225.00

Absolutely disgusting 12 months and 16 months bans absolute joke its about time these do gooders who sit on the bench at court got there act together and start giving custodial sentences to these people plus longer driving ban plus re sit there tests plus to a drug and drink test before hand .
