Harlow driver clocked at 140mph on M25

A HARLOW man was clocked travelling at 140 mph on the M25 motorway.
Lee Oliver, aged 32, of Herons Wood, Harlow was charged with the following.
On May 29th, 2021 at Epping Forest drove a Volkswagen Golf on the M25 Junction 27-28 at a speed exceeding 70 miles per hour.
At 0323 hours, the speed recorded by means of calibrated speedometer was was 140 mph.
Oliver was fined £816.00 and six points placed on his licence.
Shame, should be prison.
At any speed over 100mph it is normally a ban so why wasn't he? Something doesn't smell right.

He is a danger to the public and his licence should have been removed
Very surprised he wasn't banned immediately.? Perhaps he pleaded loss of income or earnings or his livelihood which requires him to have a licence. He should have taken that into consideration before committing the offence.
