AN outstanding weekend for Harlow Gymnastics, with 8 medals won and all 32 competing gymnasts being awarded their respective grades at the Essex County Competition at Iceni Gymnastics Club in Colchester.  

Alessandra Aronica shone at the top level grade 6 event, placing 1^st on bars, beam, floor and R&C, earning the overall gold medal. Elsie Leverington was awarded the bronze overall medal after placing 1^st on vault and 3^rd on bars, beam, floor and R&C. Amelia Palmer secured 4^th place overall, after placing 2^nd on beam and 3^rd on vault. Kira Henson placed 3^rd on beam to finish in 6^th place overall. Also in the level 6 event, teammates Libby Chung, Grace Codlin and Ellie Aimable placed 5^th, 7^th and 8^th respectively. 

Natasha Bishop and Renee Stewart were both awarded the bronze overall medal for their performance in the grade 5 event. Natasha also placed 1^st on bars and 2^nd on beam, with Renee placing 1^st on R&C and 3^rd on bars. Missy Poole placed 3^rd on both vault and floor to finished in 4^th place overall. Finishing in 6^th position overall, Sienna Smith also placed 2^nd on both vault and bars. In the same event, Charlotte Smith, Milli Battelley and Poppy Bridgewater placed 5^th, 7^th and 8^th overall respectively. 

With the highest number of competitors from all the clubs, the grade 4 event was the largest of the day. Maybel Brooks, Sofia Shraka, Lucy Brough, Molly Mather and Ava Bowles placed 9^th, 12^th, 13^th, 14^th and 15^th overall respectively.  

The medals continued in the grade 3 event from golden girls Eva Reeve and Poppy-Rose White. In addition to their overall gold medals, Eva placed 2^nd on floor and 3^rd on bars, with Poppy-Rose placing 2^nd on beam and 3^rd on both vault and floor. Myla Collins finished 4^th overall after placing 1^st on bars and 3^rd on beam, with teammate Shilah Wynter-Glace finishing narrowly behind in 5^thplace. Layla Clarke placed 1^st on vault and 2^nd on bars to finish in 6^th overall, and Evelyn Lawrence finished in 7^th after placing 2^ndon vault. 

The final medals of the day were in the grade 2 competition from duo Isla Edwards and Darcey Degani. Isla placed 1^st on beam, 2^ndon both bars and floor, and 3^rd on vault winning her the gold overall medal. Darcey placed 1^st on both beam and floor earning the overall bronze. Deliah Cavendish placed 1^st on vault and 2^nd on beam, finishing in 4^th overall, with Poppy Rose Dear finishing narrowly behind in 5^th after placing 3^rd on both bars and beam. In the same event, teammates Katie-Rose Garland, Harper Gillick and Mia Allen placed 6^th, 7^th and 8^th respectively. 

The club were absolutely delighted with these fantastic achievements, as this was the inaugural county competition for many of the younger gymnasts and the first time the senior gymnasts had been able to compete for 2 years.
