NO charges are going to be brought after a complaint was made that a woman with learning difficulties was the target of abuse at the Harlow Playhouse.

The incident happened at a West Ham Legends night in November 2021.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We carried out a thorough investigation into a report of a woman being subjected to verbal abuse in Harlow.

“The report related to an incident at the Harlow Playhouse on 13 November.

“Our enquiries have now concluded and we found that although the behaviour directed at the victim was rude, it did not constitute a public order offence.

“The victim and those close to her have been kept informed throughout our investigation”.
