Athletics: Cross country returns with superb event in Harlow
Athletics / Mon 10th Jan 2022 am31 10:12am
CROSS country returned to the fields of our town as Harlow Running and Tri Club hosted a four-way competition on Sunday morning.
Starting from the Church Langley playing fields, the athletes from Harlow battled it out with Ware Joggers, Bishop’s Stortford Running Club and Saffron Striders.
The course took them though Church Langley and Newhall before tackling very muddy conditions in the fields near to Churchgate Street in Old Harlow.
The whole event was superbly organised by Harlow’s team captain Laura Prime and her team (with special mention to Jamie Jephcott and Amanda Stead).
Our cameras caught up with the athletes as they took on a very tricky stream on the course near to Old Harlow.

Superb project management behind the scenes helped to make this event a huge success. There’s more cross country races happening over the next few months. Any mud lovers should contact the club and give it a go!
