Church Langley man pleads guilty to child sex offences

A HARLOW man has pleaded guilty in relation to a number of sexual offences against children.

Matthew Collings, aged 20, of Doulton Close, Church Langley, Harlow pled to the following at Chelmsford magistrates court.

On or before October 2nd, 2020, at Harlow made an indecent photograph, namely 2 x Category A still images, of a child.

On or before October 2nd, 2020 at Harlow made indecent photographs, namely 2 x Category B still images on TM/1, of a child.

On or before October 2nd, 2020 at Harlow made indecent photographs, namely 6 x Category C still images on TM/1, of a child.

On or before October 2nd, 2020 at Harlow being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, intentionally attempted to communicate with a person under 16 who you did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over, the communication being sexual, namely asking her if she would like to see your penis and watch you masturbate.

On or before October 2nd, 2020 at Harlow being a person aged 18 or over, intentionally attempted to cause or incite a girl aged 15, not reasonably believing she was aged 16 or over, to engage in sexual activity of a non penetrative nature, namely send nude images of herself to you.

Collings has been committed for sentence at Chelmsford Crown Court on February 14th, 2022.
