PEOPLE may think that planning committee meetings are a little dry and sometimes they are.

But now and again, application comes along and there isn’t a dry eye in the house.

This was the third time that this family had put an application in for an extension in Great Leylands.

It was a case of third time lucky and as the emotional applicant said: “All we are trying to do is to tuen a house into a home”
