Teenager with large knives and drugs arrested in town centre

ON Monday, officers from the Harlow Police Town Centre Team performed a stop search on a juvenile male.
After trying to escape he was stopped and two knives were found on him as well as drugs.
The male was arrested and charged.

What are things coming to? How about 3 years prison for every inch of blade carried, served on a remote island rehabilitation re education camp? Priti Patel would probably go for that, alternatively spend the money on youth services, sports, clubs, arts, diverting and preventing kids from ever getting in such a situation in the first place.

Thought carrying a knife carried a mandatory 10yr sentence, he'll probably get probation and community service, no detterant whatsoever!
