IT’S official, Harlow CC have the best Third XI side in the entire county. Rizwan’s side romped home to the title by totally outplaying Orsett & Thurrock in a one-sided game today.

Orsett opted to bat first but a superb effort from all four bowlers used, back up by some smart fielding and catching, led to a rapid dismissal for just 70. Tyler Dobson (Pictured) led the bowling attack with stunning figures of 4-16 (8.2 overs), with Syed Ahsen Ali 3-14 (7), Sunni Ali 2-15 (7) and Haris Hamid 1-13 (5) all producing fantastic figures.

In reply, Harlow lost an early wicket but that brought Oliver Allen to the crease and the youngster clearly wanted to get stuck into the title celebrations sharpish as he hammered 46 not out from just 13 deliveries including four maximums.

This has been an absolutely monumental season from this side. Up against the power houses of Essex cricket they have come out on top. Everyone has contributed and in Rizwan Qayyum they have an outstanding captain and leader.
