HARLOW Running and Tri Club members completed the High Easter 10k on Sunday morning. Lucy Barnes was the outstanding performer on the day, finishing in 7th place out of 198 finishers and 1st Female in a fantastic 36min 31sec. This was a new Female Course Record, a PB and a Senior Female Club Record for the distance. Terri Wiley was 20th and 3rd Female in 41.34(PB), Catherine Ridge 32nd and 1st Female Vet 35 in 42.45, Thomas Beales 40th in 43.36, Phil Middleton 49th in 44.57(Debut), Linda Helm-Manley 76th and 1st Female Vet 55 in 48.25(PB), Paul Dixon 91st in 50.07 and Luella Dixon 150th in 59.35(PB).

Meanwhile, at the Tiptree 10 Mile race Martin Westley finished in 25th place out of 369 finishers in a superb 1hr 04min 25sed. He was followed home by Martyn Coulter in 30th place in 1.05.32(PB), Chris Arnell 122nd in 1.19.12(PB), Kerry Mavris 152nd in 1.23.15, John Tennant 165th and 2nd Vet 70 in 1.24.34, Kate Porter 208th in 1.29.02(PB), Laura Prime 254th in 1.34.35 and Robin Lozeau 284th in 1.38.54.

The Royal Parks Half Marathon, which passes through four of London’s Royal Parks, Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens, was completed by Chris Mella in 2464th place out of 12,060 finishers in a PB time of 1.48.24, Jacobus van der Poel 7237th in 2.12.27(Debut), Kate Babb 8332nd in 2.18.51(Debut) and Yasmin Gregory 11,854th in 3.16.04.

Lee Daniels completed the Chicago Marathon, finishing in 37,226th place out of 39,429 finishers in 6.18.25.

At the Edmonton Run The River 10k Charleen Tillotson finished in 148th place out of 234 finishers in 1.00.19 and Mick Gleeson was 160th in 1.02.28.

There was a parkrun PB for Steve Wright at Markshall Estate parkrun, Coggeshall, finishing in 19th place out of 207 finishers in 23.13.

At Harlow parkrun there a PB from Donna Milton, finishing in 62nd place out of 165 finishers in 28.14. Joanne Mills finished in 1o4th place in 31.55, a new Female Vet 75 record.
