THE leader of Harlow Labour has pledged to continue to scrutinise all aspects of the ruling Tory groups policies.

We asked councillor Vince a number of questions as we enter the last month of the year and thoughts turn to the local elections in May as well as the next general election.

To be honest I think a Lettice could beat Halfon at the next election. No one is going to vote conservative they have destroyed thier base. What we really need though is an independent standing not more of the liblabcon as they ultimately are the same.

Councillor Vince scrutinize the Tories? What a joke! He spent 10 months on the Shareholder sub-committee discussing the HTS business plan. He failed to record any objections to reduced terms and conditions for new subsidiaries. Cllr Vince is on a YourHarlow video saying he is "happy" with the business plan. Sadly, this will create a two-time workforce which the union Unison warn will drive down wages and conditions for everyone. Cllr Vince lacks attention to detail, so I suggest he sticks to photo opportunities.

Correction: a two-tier workforce which has workers in different parts of the business on different wages and conditions. Eventually, the employer consolidates the terms and conditions at the lower rate. All thanks to Cllr Vince not scrutinizing the Tories.
