Summer Grant: Seven years on, you are still missed
News / Sat 25th Mar 2023 at 11:11am
ON Saturday, March 26th 2016, a little girl called Summer Grant lost her life when a bouncy castle that she was playing on in Harlow Town Park blew away.
One of the films below is of the toys and tributes left at the gates of the car park.
In the middle is a balloon saying. “You will be missed”.
This reporter was there at the town park on that tragic afternoon. Every week, on a Saturday morning, this reporter jogs around the town park on what is known as the parkrun course.
The course passes by Summer’s Bench. Every week, there are flowers or some memento. That bench is never empty.
It is clear that Summer is still missed and she is never ever forgotten.
Our thoughts are with the Grant family and anyone touched by that tragic day.
Rest in peace, Summer Grant.
