HARLOW veteran runner Alan Power celebrated his 250th parkrun on Saturday morning by being surprised by Innovation Multisport club members all wearing a mask of his face!
Alan, aged 78, has run at Harlow parkrun since 2015 but before that he has taken part in many races over the years including marathons in his 20s, half marathons, and local events such Hatfield Broad Oak and St Clares’ Hospice 10k.
He is so warmly loved and respected by his colleagues and friends as he is such a lovely and selfless gentleman.
He goes to interval training weekly and still goes to the gym. He walks everywhere too, including to and from parkrun.
He is a true superstar and inspiration to everyone, showing that age is just a number.
