IF you want to see an example of where a sports club is so much more than a sports club, then look no further than Harlow Running and Tri Club (HRTC).

HRTC is inclusive, friendly, encouraging and supportive.

All levels of abilities are welcome.

There doesn’t seem to be a week that goes by, in fact, a day goes by without someone in the club competing.

A large number of the members were competing last Thursday when the civic awards were taking place so they asked if the chair of Harlow Council, cllr Andrew Johnson could meet some of the members down at the track which is situated at Mark Hall Sports Centre.

The chair was fascinated to hear from chair of HRTC, Miquel Luque, club captain, Andrew Terrell and Team GB member Gail Nicholls about their work, in and off the track, including a recent “Foodbank” run.

Harlow Running and Tri Club are truly great ambassadors for our town.
