Update: Women dies following road traffic collision on A414 near Harlow

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision closed a section of the A414 near Harlow for several hours.
Road policing officers are appealing for witnesses and/or dash cam footage following the collision in Eastwick, about 10.30am today (July 1).
The road did not reopen until roughly 7pm.
A Hertfordshire Police spokesperson said: “A white Mercedes collided with a maroon Mazda MX5 on the A414 in Eastwick.
“Sadly, a woman aged in her 70s died.
The occupants of the Mercedes suffered injuries, which are not life-threatening.

THE A414 at Eastwick Road, just outside Harlow, is closed due to an incident.
Essex Police have stated that it is best to avoid the area due to significant disruption.
YH understands that traffic officers are directing cars to turn around and find alternative routes.
There are bound to be knock on effects on a number of roads in the town and on side roads.
