Interim Director at HTS in positive mood for the future

THESE have been uncertain times for HTS. HTS is the housing and building maintenance company allied with Harlow Council.
So we thought this would be a good time to catch up with the Interim Director, Alan Townshend and assess how he sees his role over the coming months.

The Water Gardens is a private development and not council owned. In fact, Harlow Council's Civic Centre is a leased property. The grounds maintenance of the Water Gardens is done by private contractors, not HTS.

I discovered how HTS are reducing their backlog of repairs. Been waiting well over a year for them to repair a flat roof over a window. Made my regular phone call to check when they would be coming, only to be told that the repair was no longer on the list because of no access. At no time has anyone told me they were coming nor was there ever a card left to say they had called. Seems lists are easy to manipulate!
