UK wages grow at record annual rate

WAGES grew at a record annual pace between April and June, according to new figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reports the BBC.
Regular pay grew by 7.8%, the highest annual growth rate since comparable records began in 2001.
Inflation, which measures the pace at which prices are rising, has eased but remains relatively high at 7.9%.

Its still a fall in real terms if its below inflation, isn't it? Remember the 11% inflation we have seen in the last year is effectively baked in. Your headline should probably read 'UK wages grow at record annual rate..but cannot keep pace with even higher inflation'. It is slightly disingenuous otherwise.
