THREE men suspected of being linked to dozens of burglaries across south-east England are wanted by police, the BBC can reveal.
The raids include a break-in at the home of footballer Raheem Sterling when he was on World Cup duty last December.
An estimated £300,000 worth of jewellery and watches were stolen.
Alfred Isufi, 48, Gerard Kalaja, 22, and Henri Osmani, 44, who are all Albanian nationals, are being sought for questioning over 33 burglaries.
It is believed items totalling an estimated £1m have been taken in all of the raids, which happened in Surrey, Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire.
One man has already been charged and could stand trial next year – but he is yet to enter a plea.
Det Insp James Ansell told the BBC a team of Surrey Police detectives investigating the burglaries are set to make a public appeal on BBC One’s Crimewatch in the next few weeks, to try to establish the men’s current whereabouts.
The three wanted men all have links to Harlow, Essex and north London and are not believed to have left the UK.
“Investigating burglary dwellings is a priority for Surrey Police and we will be relentless in pursing these offenders,” Det Insp Ansell said.
Chelsea star Sterling travelled home from England’s camp in Qatar to be with his family after news of the incident reached him during the tournament.
He missed England’s 3-0 win over Senegal on 4 December, but returned as a substitute for the quarter-final defeat to France six days later.
While details of the other 32 raids have not yet been made public, Det Insp Ansell said they were predominantly carried out in “affluent areas”.
On Thursday a 23-year-old Albanian man appeared at Guildford Crown Court faced with 33 charges of conspiracy to commit burglary.
Emiliano Krosi, of Ditton Court Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, was brought to court from Wandsworth Prison, in south-west London, and spoke only to confirm his name via an Albanian interpreter.
Judge Rufus Taylor remanded Mr Krosi into custody ahead of another court date in November where he is expected to enter a plea.
A trial date has been set for 14 February next year and is expected to last just under two weeks.
Prosecutor Laurence Imrie said he anticipated there could be four defendants if the case goes to trial and told the court: “Efforts are being made to track the others down.”
Greetings from the Robin Hood and Dick Turpin Fans Club.
Deport them
Send them back to Albania.
We have enough criminals here without importing more. These and any other foreign criminals need to be deported.
If found to be guilty make sure that the prison sentence is long and on release make sure the are deported and never ever allowed back in
Albanians have for many years been the number 1 gangsters in the UK Biggest criminals Well known or should be well known fact
Immigration it's good for the UK , so we are told .
Kick them.a out of the uk
Justice but show mercy
No mercy
They will not get deported, as they are not English. More like they will get looked after. Our country is a joke. Just keep yourselves to yourselves people. That is all I will say.
Well when they get caught and done about 6 months jail time. They should be sent back to Albania we don't need foreign people who come here for better life and Rob and steal. We need to toughen up on people we open doors wide open to. This country is weak and getting worse
This is the Tory government fault and yet people continue to vote for!! Cut police numbers through austerity, so not enough police officers to investigate. Been in charge for 14 years and yet immigration is a mess. People need to start looking in the mirror. Get what you vote for!!!
Need Liam Neeson to kick those Albanian arses, he will find you.
About 18 years ago my friend met and started dating a man. (He told her he was Italian) At first he was lovely to her and treated her really well. There was always something about him I didn't like and I knew he definitely wasn't Italian. He literally groomed and manipulated my friend and her family. It then turned out he was Albanian and living and working in the UK illegally and had come over on the back of a lorry. He got sent back to Albania. She went over to Albania and married him as he said he couldn't be without her and she had by then fallen hook, line and sinker. He followed her back to the UK about 6 months later. Once he got his UK residency and passport he completely changed and his true colours were revealed. I was at the birth of their daughter as he didn't want to be there in case "he got bored" I told him he was going to be there, no excuses as she needed his support. At first he was rude to the nursing staff and a total a*sehole, I wasn't putting up with it and neither were the nursing staff. I made him come into the birthing suite and told him his fortune and to stop being a d*ck as I wasn't going to take his sh*t. When the baby girl was born and as the midwife took the baby to weigh her, my friend actually apologised to him that it wasn't a girl as he wanted a boy. You can imagine the midwifes and my response. He used to beat her up, threaten her life and was dealing drugs and involved in a prostitution ring. He fleed the UK and is now living the high life in another country flashing his money around. Has re married and now involved in trafficking and supplying fake passports. If he comes back to the UK he will be arrested. He hasn't once provided for his daughter who is now 16 years old. A couple of his friends did exactly the same to women they had met here. These are the kind of people that are being given residency in the UK!
Dear All Please leave the racist comments out of the Topic, thankfully we have a proper justice system here where by they will serve what they deserve! I bet no one would comets in the same way if there were home grown criminals/thief’s! As for the person who wrote the long comment “not surprised” almost can say to you is that your true colours are coming out too about your racist thoughts! I don’t support these action nor should you generalise on a nations people!
In reply to Albanian Commentator, there is nothing racist about my comment. It's your interpretation of the comment and people get sick of those that pull the race card when it suits them and have no thought for the victims. The man in question DID show his true colours, as did his friends. He was also arrested and charged for assault on a woman in a nightclub after he punched her in the face because she turned down his sexual advances. He was also convicted of domestic violence. The men I'm talking about all treated their girlfriends respectfully and well until AFTER they were married and had gained residency and then the beatings on their wives started, stealing money from them and ridiculing them and they're families. The men were sleeping with prostitutes behind their partners backs and pimping women out that had need trafficked here. The abuse to my friend and her friends included them being called English trash and ugly English wh*res. So, who were the racist ones? They had no respect for English women, they just wanted to be in the UK and do what they wanted. None of them worked on the books, all cash in hand and my friends husband also stole money from her family member who had alzheimers. Not all are like that I know, just like not all English people are racist. There are good and bad in all walls of life. In this instance it wasn't the women or me that are racist is it. Get your facts straight and stop making excuses for people like this!
