PEAR Tree Academy is pleased to let everyone know that they have a new clothing bin by the main entrance of the school.

Mrs Peden, Headteacher was pleased to make the first donation to the box this morning.  

A spokesperson said: “We are excited about educating our children about recycling whilst also raising some much-needed funds.


We would love it if any locals would like to support the school by placing wanted items into the clothing bin.

Please bring any of your pre-loved textiles, shoes and clothes listed on the bin and donate them in the Kids Just Recycle outdoor clothing bin. The company will then collect our Kids Just Recycle donations when the bin is full and weigh, sort, grade and redistribute the textiles giving them a second lease of life to less fortunate people who really need them. The FOPTM charity are then paid 40p a kilo for the amount collected to help raise money for the school.


“Please donate – pre-loved wearable clothing, paired shoes (tied together), towels, sheets, blankets, curtains or sleeping bags.

“Please do not donate – soiled rags, carpets, rugs, glass, metal, paper or any rubbish”.
