ON SUNDAY, Frontiers Ladies hosted Colchester United in the Essex Women’s County Cup which ended up being a very tight encounter both teams creating half chances throughout the game.

It was Colchester who ran out winners scoring three goals in the last 10 minutes seeing them through into the next round for the county cup.

Frontiers now go into the women’s county trophy. 

Afterwards manager Ronnie Yates said: “The performance was way more important than the result.

“We made five or or six changes, giving some players valuable game time and they all came in and did really well.

“After conceding the first game we were pushing on to get back in the game and paid the price in the end”. 

Player of the match was Lauren Yeats who was solid in the midfield .
