CLAIRE Mansfield came to work at Harlowbury Primary School and Enhanced Provision on 1st November 2021. Since then, she has been an integral part of the Harlowbury family and has supported so many children and staff before sadly losing her battle with cancer.
Over the past week both staff and children have shared their memories of Claire/Mrs Mansfield and what an amazing person she was to know.
Mrs Early the Headteacher shared “It has been a privilege to get to know Claire. She was truly an inspirational person who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Her resilience and determination in the last few months have made us all realise how thankful we are for the little everyday things.”
Claire started off her school career volunteering at Abbotsweld Primary in January 2014 before becoming a learning support assistant at the school. She later moved on to work with the children and families at the Downes Primary in April 2015 before joining Harlow Fields School and College in 2018 to follow her passion for children with SEND.
As Harlowbury staff reflected on Claire’s contributions to children’s education in Harlow, we wanted to ensure all the families and children Claire has worked with over the years have a chance to share their memories and invite everyone to celebrate Claire’s life in their own way.
The funeral service took place Tuesday 24th October at 3.30pm at Harlow Crematorium.
The most beautiful soul - missed by so many.
