I see two traveller kids fill up baskets and walk out with 3 baskets full from There last night around 7:30pm got into a car and it sped off, it really needs security guard in there, hardly any staff either, the place is a thief’s dream
When it first opened it installed a cash machine by the entrance to the shop.. a couple of weeks later had it ripped out by a JCB, wrecking the shop front.
Security guards are definitely a good idea. We have the same problem at out local co op but mostly from school children filling their bags with chocolate and snacks then walking out!!! that or the local crackheads filling baskets of meat and running off
To be fair Security Guards don't earn enough to risk getting battered by a group stealing, especially if they are Travellers. They are fine for the single shoplifters and kids but trying to stop groups of people doing what they are doing in the US is just not feasible. I don't know what the answer is but I certainly wouldn't want one of my family members being a store security in todays world.
There will come a day when you never enter a shop you will instead hand over your shopping list, pay and wait for the store staff to collect everything and then deliver to you through a hatch
