HARLOW parkrun celebrated its ninth birthday on Saturday morning.

The first running of the 5k run/walk/wheel around the town park took part on November 8th, 2014.

Before Saturday’s run, those who had volunteered 25 times plus were praised and given tokens of appreciation.

It was good to see the return of former course director, Vicky Calver, who was instrumental in getting the parkrun started in 2014. Vicky then took up the marshalling place named after her (The V-Turn).

There was also a photo op for the twelve participants who took part in the first one.
