News / Thu 14th Dec 2023 at 10:47am

THERE will be closures on the M25 this weekend as improvement works at major junctions with the M11 and A12 continue. National Highways have advised drivers to plan ahead if they are travelling on Friday and Saturday (December 15 and 16).

Weekend closures are planned from Friday between junctions 27 and 28 on the M25 in Essex, between the M11 and A12. As part of the ongoing improvement scheme, National Highways will carry out essential work on the gantries over the road.

A spokesman for highways said: “The M25 clockwise between junctions 27 and 28 will be closed overnight on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 December from 10pm to 5am each night. A diversion will be in place via M11, A406, A127 and A12, where you can re-join the M25 at junction 28.

“The M25 anti-clockwise between junction 28 and 27 will be closed overnight from 10pm Friday 15 to 5am Saturday 16 December, and from 10pm Saturday 16 December to 7am Sunday 17 December.

The diversion route is in place via the A12 southbound, A127, A406 and M11, where you can re-join the M25 at junction 27. To find out more about the improvement work on the M25 junction 28, visit the webpage: M25 junction 28 improvements – National Highways.
