THE Harlow Penguins swimming club are incredibly proud of an amazing performance from Henry O at the British Down Syndrome Swimming Championships held at K2 Crawley recently.
The meet was hosted by DSS-GB, and was open to all British swimmers with Down Syndrome.
Henry rose to the challenge starting with a bronze medal in the 25m Back, swiftly followed by a silver in the 50 back and then brought it home with a final silver in the 100 free. Henry had an amazing time at the meet and said afterwards “I’m very proud of my medals and thank you to everyone that wished me good luck”
Proud Coaches Siobhan and Jack believe Henry deserves everything he earned over the weekend, saying ‘Henry is a pure joy to coach. He is a young man with an infectious smile and a cheeky sense of humour. He trains so hard, always tries his best and his hard work is certainly paying off. Well done Henry everyone at Harlow Penguins is so proud to see you achieving your goals.”
