Sport / Sat 23rd Dec 2023 at 11:35am

HARLOW’s former Netball international, Jo Harten, was officially awarded her MBE by King Charles this week.

Jo was joined by her mother Christine and father Barry in the ceremony at Windsor Castle.

Jo has recently retired from Netball after a stellar career that culminated in winning a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

She played over 100 games for England and was recognised around the world for her combative “her never say die” style.

Jo went to St Alban’s and St Marks schools. She learned her craft at Tegate under the guidance of legendary coach Carol Bull before playing for Loughborough Lightning in England and the Giants in Sydney.
