Harlow Ju-Jitsu Club raises over £1500 for popular Hare Street teacher’s London Marathon charity

Charity / Sun 10th Mar 2024 at 02:04pm

KIND-hearted (and very fit) members of the Harlow Ju-Jitsu Club raised over £1500 with a sponsored “thrown-down” as part of a Hare Street Community School teacher’s London Marathon fund-raising campaign.

A number of Mark Grant’s pupils train with the club at the Great Parndon Community Association (GPCA).

They all really wanted to help raise funds for his charity, Children with Cancer, so they put their heads together and came up with the idea of a sponsored thirty minute “throw-down”.

We went down to the GPCA to see the half an hour thrown down, speak to Mr Grant and then see exactly how much had been raised.

As you can see, just one throw requires a lot of effort. A half an hour’s worth, must have been exhausting!
