The police and courts should not have this power. Prosecute the people etc if they are breaking the law but closing houses is not what a moral society does

This makes my blood boil. How many people would love a house like this and respect its tenancy. 3 months rent down the drain 🤬🤬🤬

I hope Harlow Council are going to get strict with social tenants causing anti-social behaviour. They should be evicted and banned from living in Harlow. If they can’t respect a free house, they simply don’t deserve it. I hope the neighbours have a more peaceful life after they leave.

So what happens to the people that live there, do they get moved to somewhere else to be a menace to other neighbours ? What happens after 3 months ?

Lynn . Don't moan about the council. Moan about the troublesome tenants

This decision is absolutely correct. It will not have been taken lightly and the tenant will have been given multiple warnings. These nuisances simply cannot be allowed to continue making other people's lives a misery and wasting police time.

Adam I don't think you've understood what's happened here and what a closure order is. A Closure order does not affect the actual tenant, they can still come and go. What a closure order does is 'close' the property to all the druggies, drunks, and general riff-raff that may also use and abuse the property. I don't know about this one but in many cases closure orders are used to assist tenants who are being cuckoo'd, that kind of thing.
