Letter to Editor: New Essex County councillor thanks residents

Your Say / Tue 7th May 2024 at 11:21am

Dear Sir,

IT is an honour and a privilege to serve the residents of both Church Langley North & Newhall and Harlow South East as their respective District and County Councillor. I would like to thank all the residents of these areas for trusting me with their vote.

My priority will be to do my utmost to represent everyone in the District Ward and County Division with passion, dedication and enthusiasm. As a resident in both, I am local and available should a resident wish to contact me to seek help.

I am proud to be part of a Conservative team on Harlow Council that is committed to rebuilding our town centre, delivering  Harlow homes for Harlow people, and is determined to restore pride in our town.

As a new Councillor at Essex County Council, I will push for a better deal for Harlow South East. A deal that includes getting more potholes repaired, making sure local children get the best educational start, and working to ensure social care provision for younger and older generations is the best it can be.

I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the residents of my home town.

Cllr Andrew Johnson

When do we hear about the suspended councillor? I am pretty sure Dan Swords said we'd know 'within days'. Five days since he said that.... another tory promise broken?

Cllr Andrew Johnson, any word yet on your colleague (or not colleague) Cllr James Leppard, has he been unsuspended? As he was clearly suspended at the time of the election yet he was counted as a Conservative Councillor albeit while suspended. If he has been unsuspended how did the investigation go? Will the finding be released?
