Re-elected Latton Bush and Stewards councillor to resume monthly surgeries

NEWLY re-elected Conservative Councillor for the Latton Bush & Stewards ward, Alastair Gunn has confirmed he will be resuming his monthly surgery, starting this Friday (17 May 2024).

First elected to represent the former Staple Tye ward in 2021, Cllr Gunn has been holding a monthly surgery at 65 Berecroft – the home of the Berecroft Residents Association – for nearly three years.

Since then he has met with local residents to discuss a range of concerns from complaints about crime and anti-social behaviour, to improving bus routes and accessibility across the town.

Cllr Gunn commented, “Being a Councillor is a great privilege and I’m honoured to be able to continue to represent this part of Harlow. My monthly ward surgery is one way of making sure people know how to come to me for support with any problems or concerns.

“I am incredibly grateful to the Berecroft Residents Association for making their property at 65 Berecroft available, and look forward to continuing to support them in their work.

“The new Latton Bush & Stewards ward is much more extensive than the old Staple Tye ward, having taken in half of the old Harlow Common ward. I’d be really keen to hear from residents whether a second surgery closer to the Latton Bush area would be useful.”
