THERE is a natural charm to the performance of Alfie Moore. Whereas some comedians look like an act and feel like an act, Alfie does come across as a guy who is pretty damn funny and so it is a pleasure to spend a couple of hours in his presence.

Fire service issue warning after fire in The Fortunes

ESSEX firefighters were called to a kitchen fire in a semi-detached house in The Fortunes in Harlow on Tuesday night (2100 hrs). On arrival crews reported that the oven was alight and the ground floor was heavily smoke logged. Crews wearing breathng apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire by 21:14hrs.

SCORES of people turned out to support the in augural Long Love Liver Fun Run in Harlow Showground last Sunday (27 September 2015). Participants chose whether to run or walk the course – and some even chose to use a Space Hopper to get around.

THE decision to exhibit its latest product at the Light + Building exhibition in Frankfurt proved to be a light bulb moment for Harlow based lighting manufacturer Lumino. The company achieved more sales as a direct result of being at the exhibition than it expected to by the end of 2015.
