Harlow man set to stand trial over possession of handgun

A HARLOW man is set to stand trial over a number of charges including possession of a sub machine gun.
Luke Panagi, aged 31, of Upper Mealines, Harlow has been charged with the following.
On July 6th, 2022 at Harlow, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse had with you in a public place, namely Station Approach a firearm, namely blank bullet sub machine gun, whether loaded or not, together with ammunition suitable for use in the said firearm.
On July 6th 2022 at Harlow had in your possession a quantity of cocaine, with intent to supply.
On July 6th 2022 at Harlow resisted yourself and prevent a constable in the execution of his duty.
On July 6th, 2022 at Hertford possessed in private, namely Carisbrook Court, a weapon to which section 141 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 applied, namely flick knife.
On July 6th, 2022 at Harlow acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely cash in GBP.
Panagi has been sent for trial to Chelmsford Crown Court. Hi next appearance is scheduled for August 4th, 2022.
He has been remanded in custody.
