Spartan South Midland Premier Division
Harlow Town 1 v 1 Arlesey Town
THIS cannot be have been easy for anyone associated with Harlow Town Football Club but the players did the club proud with a brave display that fought with every sinew to take a single point against Arlesey Town.

The day before, the manager, Danny Chapman had stood down. Syrus Gordon took charge of the team. This was never going to be easy.
But for many fans, it was reassuring to see the turnstiles open, the burger bar open, the flags up and the players warming up.
This a club that has been playing football here since 1879 and it continued on January 10th, 2026.
When Recoe Martin put Arlesey in front after ten minutes,, you did fear the worst for the Hawks.
But fair play, Harlow Town did not panic, kept to their task and steadily got back into the game.
At the other end, keeper Jarvis Monk kept Harlow in the game with a series of outstanding saves.
The equaliser came from the hard working Jack Cousins, who acted like a talisman for the whole ninety minutes.
As the second half progressed, Harlow had a number of chances to take all three points. Denzel Effah got through a ton of work on the left hand side.
Late on, sub Stef Georgiou had a gilt edge chance from close range but it was well saved by keeper Ollie Skinner.
In the end, a point each was fair enough.
The result leaves Harlow in tenth place, nine points off the play off places.
We will continue to try and establish whether they will deducted any points due to going into administration.
But well done to all 235 who attended the game. Well done to each and every person who got this game on.
Harlow Town return to league action on Saturday at home to Colney Heath.
The team today showed really good spirits ,we may look down and out but we always come back fighting, supported by the best supporters in the league, just like the chumbawamba song, we get knocked down, but we get up again, your never going to keep us down, thanks Harlow town for the good afternoons entertainment.
The stand looks quite empty. Perhaps, the club could do with engaging more with the public? Maybe, a meet the players session in the Harvey Centre on a Saturday or Sunday with a keepy uppy display would get some Interest?
