LOCAL theatre collective Cue the Chaos has announced their upcoming production of Chaos by Laura Lomas, set to perform at Passmores Academy on Saturday, 28th February 2026.

Originally developed for the National Theatre Connections Festival, Chaos by Laura Lomas is a “symphony of dislocated scenes” that explores the turbulent experience of being young in a complicated and often unstable world. The play weaves together a series of surreal and raw moments—from a girl locked in a room to a boy whose heart literally falls out of his chest—bouncing through ideas of physics, the cosmos, love, and violence.

The production showcases the power of ensemble storytelling, where characters search for meaning in the disorder and gradually find a sense of belonging in one another. By utilising non-linear narratives and contemporary movement, the collective aims to mirror the unpredictability of modern life through a bold, experimental lens.

“This play is specifically written for the energy and honesty of young performers,” says the collective. “It’s a vivid, fast-paced piece that asks big questions about how we connect with each other when the world feels like it’s spinning out of control.”
