ALL ACROSS town, all during the week, the sight of slightly over-sized uniforms have been seen scuttling down the streets as they head towards their new school.

But today has been a special day for those going into their reception year.

For some it is a tearful experience as they are wrenched from their mother’s grasp, never to be seen for a whole…three hours.

For other, like young Millie Sadler (4), it is an exciting opportunity, a fresh page in a new book, as he heads into Cooks Spinney school.

Her mother, Grace Sadler (23) said: “It is a very emotional day for us all but Millie didn’t look back. She was first in the queue, ready for a new adventure.”

Cooks Spinney have to be congratulated as their preparation for the new intake has been meticulous, caring and professional.
