PROSPECTIVE learners are being urged to give Adult Community Learning Essex’s courses a try for free.
A range of taster sessions are taking place at libraries across the county as part of the national Festival of Learning, which seeks to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to try something new and discover how learning can change their lives.
The free classes come ahead of, and during, Adult Learners’ Week (June 13 – 19, 2015) and include subjects such as cookery, beauty, arts, IT, music and languages.
Booking is not required.
Cllr Ray Gooding, Essex County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Lifelong Learning, said: “I am delighted to see Adult Community Learning and Essex Libraries working in partnership to deliver these sessions.
“Adult Community Learning offers a breadth of excellent courses for adult learners and this is an ideal opportunity to have a go for free.
“Whether you are looking to improve your job prospects, meet new people or simply pursue personal interests, I would encourage you to come along and find out what’s on offer.”
