PARINGDON sports and social club held a charity evening on Saturday 22nd July to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Throughout the year, they collect money through charity boxes and a weekly bonus ball that the members take part in also raises funds.

This event was organised to help boost the funds raised over the last 12 months. They raised in total a staggering £1501.50. It consisted of

Live music, disco, raffle and bouncy castle for the children, the bad weather did not put anyone off and it was a fantastic turnout for this great cause.

Veterans Richard Edser HMS Formidable, Ken Irish HMS National service and Keith Pengelly Merchant Navy all attended the event. They enjoyed and evening of drinks and dancing with the members and guests at the club.

With thanks to live singer Lisa Hammond and a DJ set from Aiden Herod for entertaining everyone for the evening.
